I’ve used a pressure cooker many times to cook beef roast, but I guess you could cook pork roast as well. I suppose you could also do a turkey breast as well, but have never tried it. The roast turns out great though, very tender and the juice makes a tasty gravy.
I use a pressure cooker always to cook a chuck roast. I finish it either by making brown gravy and mashed potatoes with it……
or after the roast is done, I add potatoes, carrots, celery and onion to it and make a pot roast.
The meat is always so tender it just falls apart. I cook it for about 45 min.
I sometimes cook a whole chicken in it…if I am in a hurry and the same thing with ham and beans. Soup beans take only one hour instead of three.
I also sometimes cook round steak in it to use to shred for BQ sandwiches.
The pressure pan cooks in about 1/3 the time and breaks the meat fibers down so they are more tender than any other cooking method.
No, but my Mom did. She put spare ribs in, cooked them some, then took them out and put them in the sauce and then in the oven under foil. They were so tender.
She did cheap beef and corned beef, too. It really tenderized it.
No it isn’t something I do, I do not have one.
