Question by ♥TheBeatlesAreEternal♥: i love lucy?
okay so i was watchin i love lucy the other night and lucy wanted to be on fred’s show as a dancer and so she had to lose like 15 pounds so she could fit into a size 12(equal to a size 2 in today’s standards) and so she was sitting inside of something that she called a “human pressure cooker”. i think its something that makes you lose wieght. so my questionn is: is there actually a human pressure cooker in real life that you sit in and lose weight? or was that just something that was made up? i don’t think that it was though. and could someone tell me what its called today because i searched up “human pressure cooker” and didn’t find what i needed. thanks.
oops i accidentally said fred. i meant her husband ricky. sorry.

theres like sauna things for one person, i seen them on a reality show were people wanted to lose weight.
I know what you’re talking about…I’ve seen it on halloween.
hahaha
The FDA declaired that they are hazzordous to peoples health and made it so you can’t use them anymore, but it was only a quick fix. The principle of it is to drain all the water weight much like what fighters do before a weigh in. It just dehydrates the body and muscles making them shrink in size and you lose the weight fast. Anywhere from 10 to 12 lbs in a day, but it is dangerous and should only be done if you need a quick fix, or if you are a pro fighter and need to drop down to be in the right weight class.
It’s called a sauna, which is from Finland. It is healthy to use it but it has been proven that you don’t lose weight from it. You only lose water weight because of sweating.
