I don’t have a pressure cooker, but a friend gave me a recipe that calls for one to make mungbean curry. Is there any way for me to do this with out a pressure cooker? I have a rice cooker and usually boil my beans and lentils. My friend says that the pressure cooker is important so that the mung beans don’t get mushy.

The beans can get “mushy” in a pressure cooker too!
Pressure cooker is a time saver. It takes about one tenth of the time to cook things like beans if you use one.
So you can just cook your beans the way you usually do, but watch that they don’t over cook. It will only take longer to cook them without using the pressure cooker.
Well Iam a pressure cooker nut I love pressure cookers they make everything tender I bought my last at a thrift store once you use it you will love just maker sure its all there pan lid seal and nozzle goes on top. Iam sorry I don’t believe there is anything. You would be smart and just cook in pan slower and watch them because thePC will make them mushy real quick so try it. If thats what your afaid of dont use pc they will get mushy real quick
